through this year's selction of films. The 4th Annual festival will
screen first in Sydney followed by Melbourne & Perth.
This year's showcase film
'The Cordon' (Kordon) will open the festival and 'Take a
Deep Breath ' (Disi Duboko) will have it's
WORLD PRIMER on Saturday
30th of October at 4.30pm at Cinema Paris, and on the 7th of November
will be shown in Melbourne and Belgrade.
All movies are in Serbian language and will screen with english
subtitles.
This year we are proud to present the internationally acclaimed film
director Goran Markovic. He has directed over 50 documentaries and
shorts, and the hallmark TV series Casual (Neobavezno). He is a Professor
of Film directing at The Dramatic Arts Faculty in Belgrade and a member
of the Academie Europeenne du Cinema et de la Television and was awarded
the lifetime achievement award by the International film festival in
Cleveland.
His feature films include Special Education (Specijalno vaspitanje),
National Class (Nacionalna Klasa), Variola Vera (Variola Vera), The
Meeting Point (Sabirni Centar), Tito & Me (Tito i Ja).
Come and meet Mr Markovic who will be appearing after the screening of
The Kordon on Saturday 1.30pm where you will have the opportunity to ask
him questions about the film.
